La nocciola Mortarella diffusa in Campania con maturazione precoce. Il frutto è di tipo allungato, medio-piccolo, lateralmente compresso. Il guscio della nocciola mortarella è abbastanza sottile, di colore marrone chiaro, con lievi striature di colore più intenso e leggermente schiacciato nella parte inferiore. Il seme è molto aromatico, consistente, di colore bianco-avorio di ottimo sapore. Grazie alle sue caratteristiche è molto usata nel settore della trasformazione alimentare.

The shell of the Mortarella hazelnut is quite thin, light brown in color, with slight streaks of a more intense color and slightly flattened at the bottom.
